Colosseum
The Colosseum was a amphitheater and later on was used for gladiatorial fights and animal fights. The Colosseum was used a lot for celebrations like sporting events and bloodshed. After four centuries of active use of this building it became just building materials for other buildings. The Colosseum although is missing two thirds of it, is a great tourist location and a great symbol of Rome and its history. Its crazy how this building would make bloodshed a fun sight to see. The Colosseum could hold over 50,000 people in it. Most of its audience were packed in like sardines so the numbers were actually over 70,000!!! Even though most of the buildings was damaged from natural disaster and vandalism and other stuff the Colosseum still remains one of the coolest things to see while in Rome. Most of the Gladiators that were fighting in the Colosseum were slaves,Criminals or prisoners of war. The Colosseum was said to of had around 400,000 people killed in this building and over 1,000,000 animals killed also.
