TREVI FOUNTAIN

A European art form between 1600 and 1750 is highly ornate and decorative art. A trip to Rome isn't complete unless you visit the Trevi Fountain. The Trevi Fountain is one of the most beautiful fountains in the world!!! It was built by Nicola Salvi a Roman architect. The Trevi Fountain was built as a symbol for the Aqua Virgo. The Trevi fountain is one of the oldest water sources to Rome up to date! The fountain gets around 3,000$ thrown into its pool to keep the tradition of throwing coins over the shoulder going. This tradition is said to please the water gods and if you threw in another then the gods would grant you a safe trip back home. If anyone wishes to steal coins from the fountain its a crime. This Trevi fountain was colored black at a certain time to honor Marcello Mastroianni for his death in 1996. The Trevi fountain was also colored red from a vandal, people were scared that this might damage the whole fountain having to drain it out. But then people drained it out and it turned out fine. This fountain was even put in multiple movies! Since this fountain shows so much beauty and history it was even replicated in Epcot Walt Disney world!
